From One Village to Three: Clean Water Ministry Expands

Last year, Salina Sunrise submitted a Mission Project Grant to purchase "half" of a GENESIS motorcargo. A Living Waters for the World (LWW) water purification system was installed in the village of Pajuiles, Honduras in 2014. with support from PNKS.  

The water committee in Pajuiles paid for the other half of the motorcargo. Also in this request was the cost of 100 five-gallon bottles. With the addition of the motorgargo, the committee anticipated selling 400-500 additional bottles of water a month in the three neighboring communities of La Productora, Compuerta and Pavon 1. Transportation has 

been the limiting factor thus far. 

Clean water is essential for good health. Thousands die each year due to waterborne illnesses. The three neighboring villages are currently drinking contaminated water. The purchase of the motorcargo providesthe necessary transportation to supply purified water to the surrounding villages.
