A Note from Jessie Kuehner, New Campus Pastor at Kansas-State University:
Dear Supporting Churches, Regional Leaders, and Ministry Partners,
I hope you are enjoying the summer season and finding opportunities for rest, renewal, and ministry.
I wanted to take a moment to share an update on the ongoing revitalization efforts at Ecumenical Campus Ministry (ECM) at Kansas State University. My goal is to provide regular communication so that our supporting churches and denominational partners remain informed about the work taking place and the exciting opportunities ahead.
We would love to invite you and your congregations to ECM's Open House this September. This will be a wonderful opportunity to see the ministry space, learn about our vision for the future, and connect with students and supporters.
We have updated our signs at the ECM center. You can now see the name of our building!!!
As we prepare for the fall semester, we are also asking for your help in connecting with incoming K-State students. If you know graduating seniors, college students, grandchildren, neighbors, or other young adults who will be attending K-State this fall, please encourage them to connect with ECM through our student referral form:

This summer has been a productive season for ECM. During our June Board meeting, we approved bylaws, and we are using the quieter summer months to organize ministry spaces, clean storage areas, and develop a budget, policies, standard operating procedures, and forms that will provide a strong foundation for the future of the ministry.
We are also building our committee structure and would welcome participation from individuals beyond our Board of Directors. Attached you will find committee descriptions. Please feel free to share these opportunities with members of your congregations who may have gifts, expertise, or interest in supporting ECM's mission.
Looking ahead, we are finalizing an exciting fall schedule that will be posted on our website in the coming weeks. Planned programming includes:
• Weekly Bible Study
• Weekly Chapel and Free Sunday Night Dinner
• Continue our Weekly Free Friday Lunch called Real Food Lunch
• Monthly Speaker Series featuring faith leaders and community experts
• Fellowship and Community-Building Events
• Alternate Thanksgiving Break Mission Trip
• January College Conference at Montreat NC
• Fundraising and Service Opportunities
• Seasonal Special Events and Student Outreach Initiatives
I have greatly enjoyed getting to know our supporting congregations and the wider faith community in Manhattan. This fall, I look forward to expanding those relationships by connecting with churches throughout the region. I am excited to attend upcoming UCC and Disciples of Christ regional gatherings, as well as the PCUSA's national campus ministry (UKIRK) conference for campus pastors in July. We are also honored to welcome a regional PC(USA) staff member as one of the speakers in our fall speaker series.
