In November, the PNKS Mission Ministry Team approved a Mission Project Grant submitted by FPC Salina. This grant was used to support discipleship development and an international mission partner visit by the brother/sister team of Gerber and Mirna Perez of Juntos Guatemala (JT). FPC Salina has been partnering with Juntos Guatemala for over 15 years.

The congregation was able to hear updates from Mirna on the evolving work Juntos Guatemala has been coordinating in the remote region of Ixcán, as well as exciting new developments underway in San Antonio Aguas Calientes.
In conjunction with Mirna's visit, her brother, Gerber Pérez was present as guest lecturer. Gerber is an experienced educator and leader in community development and collaborative cross-cultural mission. He has been an effective guide and teacher for multiple North American groups and service teams over the past 15 years.
While in Salina, Mirna and Gerber spoke to Salina Rotary, engaged with local healthcare professionals during a Lunch-n-Learn, explored the local partnership with Salina Grace Resource Center, toured the facilities of both Salina Grace and the Emergency Aid Food Bank, and joined in celebrating Salina's Women of Achievement. Mirna and Gerber also spent some dedicated time with youth and Midweek children. One evening, Gerber served as guest speaker during a Midweek Fellowship Dinner. On Sunday, the Pérez siblings lead Sunday Worship.
