PNKS Book Study Explores "A is for Alabaster"

This spring's book selected for the PNKS book study was A is for Alabaster by Anna Carter Florence. The author led us through the alphabet twice (Old Testament and New Testament) and introduced us to some new characters, places, and stories. There were three study groups across the Presbytery that read and discussed the book. It was enjoyable, thought-provoking, and easy to read.

Here are some comments from participants:

I found out that I don’t know the Bible nearly as well as I thought I did. I read about people, places, and parables that were completely new to me. I appreciated the author’s sense of humor.”
“This is my first Bible study. Starting with a book written by Anna Carter Florence was a good way to begin. Exploring scripture through lesser-known characters and studying a few verses at a time was insightful. Our group kept engaged in discussion.”
“I really enjoyed the whole book study. I learned a lot about different things I didn’t know. The book was very informative.”
